Whenever possible I like to contribute bug fixes and improvements back to the open source libraries that I use. Here are some of my contributions:

  • Various contributions including adding SBML support to the parser, maintaining the JIT llvm code, and migrating to the new llvm pass manager. C++

  • Extend scatter plots to allow use of linear and rectangular selectors. Python

  • Extend pykdtree to support huge point clouds. cython

  • Add gaussian broadening to slit source in the mcx GPU ray-tracer. cuda
• libSBML (2020-2023)
  • Various fixes for math parsing and expression evaluation as well as fixing memory leaks. C++
• jupyter nbconvert (2023)
  • Fix an issue where the reveal.js slides generated by nbconvert were not visible. css
• flexbar (2023)
  • Update tbb use in flexbar to onetbb to allow it to build with the current conda-forge tbb version. C++

  • Fix openssl issue in the packaging of HTSlib on bioconda. Python yaml
• pybind11 (2020-2022)
  • Fixes to improve support on Windows for msys2 and mingw.

  • Improved the rendering performance in psychopy. Python

  • I spent a day tracking down the cause of a segfault in symengine where the fix ended up being this one-line commit to llvm. C++
• Stockfish (2021)
  • Added macOS and windows jobs to the CI. yaml

  • Fix an incorrect warning when parsing test executable return code. CMake
